Doesnt really matter, the pink long life is better than the old style blue.

Most of us use Vauxhalls own at about £10 for 5 litres of concentrate, which is all you need

Are you sure is as cheap as that , ws looking at others prices for the red stuff all around £20 + for 5 litres.
Would have thought that the gm red would be higher?
Suppose i will find out tomorrow.

Hi,
Just to clear up what seems to be a common misconception.

The GM red longlife anti freeze is an ethylene glycol based anti freeze.
Just read what it says on the label !!

The difference in the blue and red formulations is in the type of corrosion inhibitors and the way in which they work.
Even though some makes say they are compatible, if possible you should always well wash one type out of the system before filling with the other.

I use GM Red in everything - MV6, Rover, Kawasaki.  Its a quality antifreeze at a reasonable price.

Still change it every 2yrs on the MV6 and the bike,  The Rover, being K series, has a 'continuous loss' type system, so is constantly replaced  ;D
