Key Fob Battery Replacement
« on: 16 January 2010, 11:18:20 »

Recently, the action of the remote central locking has been getting poorer (several presses right up against the window required to unlock/lock the car). I was thinking that  I need to replace the battery in the key fob & have obtained the type suggested on here.
However, I'm b*ggered if I can work out how to access the fob to swap the battery. Has anyone else done this that can offer some advice?
I'm sure I also read somewhere that this operation must be completed within a time limit to prevent loss of memory(?)

Lever key off the fob - on hte back there is a clip. Use a small screwdriver

THen lever apart the fob where the key used to be and there is the battery
