OmegaH/brake-Which way tightns Star Wheel adjuster
« on: 22 January 2010, 08:58:42 »

Hi all,

I have seen the good post on this http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152564750

One question is does anybody know which way does the Star adjuster need to be turned to tighten up ?

The handbrake on my V6 finally needs doing (its never been done on this car and I've had car from new !) as I am on 9 notches, and was wondering if a couple of turns on the adjuster will just help.  I am prepared to go the whole hog (I did my Carltons handbrake a few years ago), but wondered  if I can get away with 2 or 3 Start Wheel adjuster on either side ?

Also, how long would you expect rear pads and shoes to last ?  I have just knotched up 54k mls so wonder if I just need to bike the bullet and replace ?
