Thanks for the tip regarding leaving the vehicle  in Park and not applying the handbrake....never thought of that solution !! Suppose it saves on brake shoes binding and undue pressure on the cables ?

Yup, handbrake still uses the rear drum iic rather than the disc to hold it.

After getting back the Alps, it had seized on mine, had to drive forwards, then back to release it  :o

Darn! And I was so sure it was making a difference! :(

Perhaps it is just in my head - like the voices... :D

Oh well, I can save some money now, I'll just move the panel I've got onto my bike...


Could always check....they have been known to go faulty  :y

Checked mine, it is definitely permanently on.... so my charger panel DOES work!  :y

Remove battery, connect it to an optimised charger, switch on charger and forget about it. :y
