Utter 'dangle berries'

The key is the fuel gauge went to zero.  The display gets its fuel level reading from the instrument panel (try your mid with instrument panel out).

It could be the connector on the back of the instrument panel - press firmly on the rev counter with palm of hand, see if it seats better.  Failing that, check condition of connectors at tank end (inspection cover in boot)

usually, people take a little time to learn the approach, diagnosis on a pc is hard enough without having the issue in front of you hands on. Its all about communication, the original poster has to describe the issue correctly, we need to read it correctly, and give as accurate response as possible, it really doesnt help anyone when any old bodge reply that may or may not be relevent is thrown in to the mix, we all get it wrong from time to time, we get tired and miss read etc...but if the basic approach is "any old reply will do", which is how you come accross, then it degrades the forum integrity.

I'm getting a bit above my station here, its not my forum and not for me to start throwing my wait about, but i am entitled to an opinion, that being, dont post unless your certain of a corret outcome bassed on your experience, its other peoples money your messing with.

And if your guessing, say so, but probably best not to guess at all tbh.

Here's hoping I don't get accused of posting 'dangle berries', but I had a problem that gradually got worse with the fuel gauge dropping out.  Tried lots of fixes including boogering about inside the clocks, but eventually cracked it, as detailed my last post of this thread:
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1242500983/1#1

I posted a sketch of the gauge sender recently, to try to show what I was describing in words in that thread.  If you're good with searches you'll find it fairly easily.  :)

Unlikely mate - you spent time diagnosing and fixing a problem - and then shared that success here :y

Not the first time &  I don't expect the last time

"utter 'dangle berries'" is over the top especially from admin to another forum member.

I use the forum for help and give help where I can - not much I know

OTT in my opinion

Post count don't give a sh!t.
