Core plug replacement
« on: 22 March 2010, 07:42:27 »

Put this post on the end of another thread - Anyone help?

Evening All
After a major oil cooler leak, and spending hours flushing the system, seems I have a core plug prob. Water (steady trickle) coming from rear passenger side. Drops down onto exhaust to manifold bracket. Anyone know the procedure to replace core plug?
Certainly not HG as car drives fine, and no oil in sump, no smoke from exhaust.

I've heard of someone using a partially attached dispack bracket to bang one in...

But Head off really to do it I believe.
