MOT fail on track rod

"Nearside outer track rod end ball joint has excessive play"
I had the front lower wishbones replaced only last year  :o
How do I sort this one?

New track rod is easy to replace! its not part of the wishbone.

Although you might have a problem getting it off the adjuster bar.  I need to do this on mine, and am considering getting the entire link i.e. inner and outer and adjuster bar in one package!

Yea get both just in case  the entire link i.e. inner and outer
took mine to garage took two days to get it off

Not really too much of problem to separate the track rod end from the adjuster normally.
Take the whole arm off, clamp in a vice and heat the threaded point of connection, normally is easily separated then with a large stilson wrench. 
Some people say that  you should not heat steering components, but I have seen all sorts of professionals do  this this as a routine operation and have done it myself several times with no ill effects.

Snap, all mine have been removed (front and rear) and had this treatment followed by a good clean of the threads, plenty of grease and a refit with further grease on them.

It makes the job of the alignment centre so much easier  :y
