need help please....
« on: 23 June 2010, 00:52:47 »

i brought my car with a few minor fault's (only expected as it's done 213k miles) but the one that is doing my head in is the throttle possition sensor low voltage fault i cant seem to get around....the car is a facelift W reg 2.2 estate with lpg and i have replaced the following

throttle pedal
throttle body
cleaned out all breather's and fitted the breather box on the back of the rocker cover

i have also changed the ECU in the fuse box with a new key and black box under the steering column but the car then refused to start...

i have been informed that the lpg kit is fitted and a wire is conected to the throttle possition sensor somewhere but i dare not start looking into the wireing as there are load's in there.....

i am really wanting i suppose is someone who know's about lpg kit's and can point me in the right kind of direction to get it fixed without a mega expense

thanks in advance

Manual or Auto?

Could well be MAF sensor as this has been known to throw up the TPS fault P1555 i think  :-?

will check the brake pedal switch and also the maf sensor

i forgot to say it's a manual and the car with spanner light is oin the dash and it wont rev over 4.5k rev's..

Classic symtons of cam sensor failing, which will also throw spurious codes P1555 being one of them
