Help, Airbag warning light
« on: 25 July 2010, 20:29:21 »

Airbag warning light recently decided to stay on, have checked with "My Naff Code Reader", shows faults 44 and 81, memory blocks identify "Passenger side, side airbag sensor - Interupted/Not OK"
Anybody know what I should be looking at ?
Have checked wiring under seat and all the way to the side airbag, nothing appears to be wrong.
Is there a separate sensor I should be checking ?

Thanks

In door.

TIS suggests replacement, though we have known it to be door connector...

Anyone using "My Naff Code Reader" to mess with airbags is a braver man than me ;D ;D ;D

1) Yup

2) Pretty buggy piece of software.  I'm told on good authority that an airbag in the chops does smart somewhat ;D

Protip: Get out of the vehicle when enabling airbag communication to "My Naff Code Reader"  :y
I was very afraid when I did this the first time..

Jeez!! you're brave.......I've still got the mark on my face from an airbag trim cover!  (accident, not "My Naff Code Reader")

There are plenty on this site who will testify I do do that if I'm not using a genuine Tech2.....  :-[

I've only ever done airbag lights from outside with the cable trailing out of the window ;)

It's quite ironic.. One of the main safety features on a car is also potentionally deadly if you're unlucky.. There have been several accidents due to unintentional airbag deployments  :(
