Not entirely sure who my electric/gas is with.  I know I am on a IGP so yet stung for gas (what a bloody con that is, having to pay transco and someone else to deliver the gas to my door  >:().  And I know the electric is £100 per month.

He He. My Dad bought one for 49.99 the other day ::)

2 stroke petrol, about 700 watts output IIRC. Put a bulb on it and the output was up and down like a yo-yo. Needed about 500 watts of load before it stabilised. You get what you pay for.

With a 100 quid monthly leccy bill you need to set up a little CHP scheme. Then you could have the house heated for free in the winter, and a hot tub in the garden for Post-cam belt do relaxation in the summer :y

You need one with a bit more of a flywheel and an engine that runs OK at several combinations of speed and load, not just one.

The radio club have a nice 5kVA diesel that will throw you across the field if you don't give it a bit of respect when staring, but then it'll just plod along happily for days on end, even with some very unfriendly loads.

Problem is it weighs a ton so we normally end up with some poxy little Honda petrol job cos no-one can be bothered to shift the decent one.
