It'd have still been possible, you can drop seats from the boot using a long slim screw driver ...... been there done that on my dead locked & de-locked  Senator.  :y

Some years back on the old 2.5 ...  pre-OOF days ... I returned from a detachment to a very dead Omega ... knew nowt about using the key on the deadlocked doors .. so opened the boot with the key ... climbed in ... kicked the "ski" panel hard :) so it sprang open...  reached in and manage to drop a seat .. crawled through enough to reach the rear door and unlock it.

All this was done in a very public car park with 2 coach loads of Army ( the passengers I had just flown home from Alaska :( ) making loud and ribald comments.

The comments got even more raucous when I used the crew coach to jump start the car ... :(

Only good thing was they were still awaiting their bags from customs when I drove away ....   :)
