After the recent Brake Failure incident I have replaced the pipe and now pumped about a litre of fluid through to bleed the system and change the fluid as I've been meaning to for a while.

I haven't had a chance to go for a spin yet but the other day when I did a quick bleed the pedal was good but as soon as the ABS actuated (if braking hard) there was an awful judder, obviously caused by getting air into the pump.

I've now done a thorough bleed and the pedal is absolutely superb but am I likely to have managed to get the air out of the pump?

Also, can someone with an "My Naff Code Reader" plug it in and have a look to see if you can actually operate the ABS module? Need to know if you can fire individual wheels or not as this may well be required to get the last of the air out. Failing that I guess it's a trip to see either TB or Mark (both similar distance from here) for some Tech 2 time to bleed it

At least I can use it again now though!

Arse Just been for a spin and it's still juddering when the ABS kicks in Brakes are excellent up to the point when the ABS kicks in Then it's a little like a bucking bronco, although not particularly dangerous as still controllable.

I'm guessing that this is air in the pump. Looks like I need to get an "My Naff Code Reader"/Tech 2 on it

Sorry, only just got back in  And yes you can run the ABS pump using "My Naff Code Reader"

Possible but unlikely as all was fine before the pipe went. We all know that coincidences do happen, aka the silver bullet, but first point of call has to be bleeding the air out

Quick question, probably for the master, I assume what I need to do is activate the pump and bleed as normal? Does it have to be pressure bled too/pump pedal or will the pump be man enough to draw in the fresh fluid as required (as long as I keep the reservoir topped up of course)?
