« on: 27 January 2011, 19:33:14 »

Winter mode goes OFF automaticaly at speed anyway ..

"Winter programme T
In the event of starting-off difficulties on
slippery roads, press button T (can be
operated only in D – T lights up). The vehicle
starts off in third gear.
The winter program is switched off by:
z pressing button T again
z manually shifting to P, 3, 2 or 1 or to P, 4, 3
or 2
z holding the accelerator pedal in the
kickdown position for longer than two
seconds
z turning off the ignition.
The winter programme is automatically
switched off at speeds in excess of approx.
80 km/h."

Remind us  :-? Why would you want to drive in 3rd gear all the time? Your mpg will go sky high or out the floor ..... how ever you look at it.   ::)

im in northumberland, morpeth, tried a few garages here but nobody will touch it as its the gearbox! yes the original problem is when i put it in drive, put my foot on the throttle the engine just revs and i dont move, happens in 1 2 3 too, till the engine sort of bumps and stinks of hot gearbox oil and moves off, works ok in winter mode and reverse

One assumes you have checked/changed the ATF in accordance with the instructions in the guide ???

Sounds so like low fluid to me ........  :(
