Busy day tomorrow.......
« on: 21 January 2008, 19:49:46 »

I intend to change front and rear pads......rear pads are low....

I think the front are even lower  ::) I'm getting a loud squeak coming from the front at low speed....which stops as soon as i touch the brakes.....i did think wheel bearing......but as the squeak stops when touching the brakes.....im going for pads. They've done nearly 30k miles  ::)
Tho im not getting any pad warning on the mid.......so when I take that side wheel off, i'll take a pic of the sensor and post it, in case ive fitted it wrongly....and hence no warning.

Also Must remember to send Martin back his LPG lead......sorry for the delay  :-[

And If i get time.......do my tax return  ::) ;D

You don't get a low pad warning until the sensor has been destroyed, daft idea by Vx that one >:(

Squealing that disappears when the brake is pressed is probably due to the pads building up a sharp edge which rubs on the disk. If the pads turn out to have plenty of meat on them, file a chamfer on the edges and they'll quieten down.

Hang on.. didn't you change your pads at Tidworth? :o

The sensor is designed to be replaced, it's cheap and cheerful (hence how it works by basically destroying itself) so no big deal really.
