Webby, if your replacement AirCon control unit is new (as in never fitted to a car) it will be in 'delivery' mode & you will need to have it activated by Tech 2. I have one in my shed that I bought to replace the worn buttons on mine & thought I could just replace the old with the new 
as for needing the radio code, I believe you can turn off the coding but the owners Audio Manual states the sequence of events is on page 17 (CDC6000) only it aint! Maybe someone who has done this in the past can help?

so when i plug it back in will the computer ask me to input the code?  :-/

You not get any manuals with your car?

as for needing the radio code, I believe you can turn off the coding but the owners Audio Manual states the sequence of events is on page 17 (CDC6000) only it aint! Maybe someone who has done this in the past can help?

right on form im stumped at the first hurdle 

ive took out the 4 screws with an alan key... but do you think i can get the radio out  it seems to be stuck.

any ideas?
