And the second question, there's a small (around 10x5x5cm) box, under the glovebox, to the right. It seems to have input at the front but I don't know what is it for....does anyone know? I can post a picture if you need. Sorry to bug

I'm not sure from your picture, but it could be the connector for the header tank low coolant sensor  :-/ :-/

Regarding your first question, can you post a picture -or a few - of the whole engine bay, as yours appears to be lefthand drive (as expected from your location).  Not too many UK-based users will be familiar with what parts are mirrored and which aren't between LHD and RHD, I'm certainly not.

Omega is running just fine otherwise, no codes, nothing. I'm curious why is that wire there, if it's for some option my car doesn't have or is it unplugged for some "sinister" reason.

the box, looks to be a speaker for a handsfree phone kit.


not sure on connector yet.....

Thanks, I thought so about the speaker but didn't have a clue about the wire. Now I'm going to be like my two kids.... Since I have original phone holder under the seat, still connected....could it be diverted for modern phone? For what phone was it ment anyway? And is there a post from before about this maybe? Sorry for asking so many things, it looks I'm becoming a child again   ;D

that could be for the power sounder? as it sits on that side on lhd i think but don't know how it would get out from under the scuttle! will have a look tomorrow in daylight and see if i can identify anything as we have by the looks of things exactly the same car!! colour and all

Thank you. Could be the same colour but I belive you have facelifted model 2.2, mine's mini F/L 2.0. Well it doesn't matter, they are the same basically
