fault code 0560

hi, whilst driving earlier my dash warning lights decided to all come on and then go out, the engine was lumpy so limped to a friends who connected a fault reader and 0560 came up saying system voltage malfunction, can anyone comfirm that this is a faulty alternator please, also when i carried out a pedal test the spanner is flashing continuously, can anyone help me out, any replies will be appreciated, thanks, kevin

What is the battery voltage at:

Engine off
Idle
2.5k rpm

hi, thanks for taking the time to reply, i dont have means of testing the voltage at the moment but i have changed battery and deleted the code code but it has come back and is still showing same code and now the battery light is staying on, thanks, kevin

Sorry, measuring that is the next step.

You run a risk of knackering your new battery if it is overcharging....
