Got a used one in my shed which could get you out of trouble if your desperate. Dont suppose you could get a mate to nip up the M11 as far as Stansted in the morning ?
You might find one at a motor factors or Hellfrauds after 10am.
Youve got my number, so if your desperate for one, give me a ring. :y

You can change the water pump without removing the cambelt...in fact although its a little trickier accessing the 3 bolts holding it on you don't even need to remove the cambelt cover

I'm sure that if you sit down with the local yellow pages you'll find a motor factors open. There are at least 2 around here that open on a Sunday.

If it's only "a bit leaky" I would get some screwtop containers of water and get myself to somewhere more favourable, topping-up as I go.

I thought the water pump was driven by the cambelt, and that many cambelt failures are due to the water pump bearing failing  :-/

V6 pump isnt cambelt driven.Failures are due to tensioner bearing/pulley collapsing. :y

Ah, forgive me for being such a div, but why do we change the water pump with the cambelt then, just because it is accessible at the time?

Most reckon that it is good practice to replace the V6 water pump everyother cambelt/tensioner replacement.

I doudt they are that prone to failure and would almost last 100k or more miles if proper coolant regime is followed but as access is some much better with belt and cover removed for the extra £30 or so it is just peace of mind.
