Noise on start up
« on: 29 July 2011, 18:49:26 »

Hi, Can anyone tell me what the part is thats located behind the bumper / Front Passengerside? it looks a bit like a turbo with pipes to it but mine isn't. When starting the car this part has a wizzing noise and a simular sound to an exhaust blowing? it only lasts for a couple of minutes then goes quiet.
Sorry if this is a daft question, Andy :y

Secondary air injection...

just under passenger front corner of the bumper

reach up and unplug it - helps to warm the cats quicker....not really needed

So long as it is working as intended you may as well leave it plugged in IMO.

The noise, once the bearing go dry, is quite embarassing. I unplugged mine.
