Elite radio, phone question
« on: 22 July 2007, 18:42:20 »

I have just purchased an Elite with a standard Bose radio that has a phone capability. What sim card will fit this unit as my sim card is way to small to fit. Is there an adapter plate that is needed?? or is it to old for todays sim cards :(
The radio system is a CCRT 700, it also says not to use the phone whilst driving, I thought the system was handsfree which means that you can :-/

Having trouble locating a full size sim card :( I can get a converter to make a normal sim into a full size sim, but will it stay inplace once inserted into the radio????
Is the system good once up and running or is it better to just go bluetooth?? :-/

Just order a SIM from O2 or Vodaphone and it will come full size but with the small bit that you'd put into your mobile as a snap out bit in the corner. All SIM used to be full size once!!  ;)
It's very handy & easy to use but compared to modern systems I suppose it's a bit dated now, and you'll have another number. Vodaphone I believe allows you to have 2 SIM cards on the one number (if you're contract) but I also understand that can also be a hassle, as you've to allocate which phone you want to use.

If I'm driving any distance I divert my mobile to my carphone, works a treat  :y

I use one of the adapters and it works well. The Tesco sim card will work :y
