Cost of new laser for sat nav

Told that i may need a new laser for my sat nav it on a facelift elite 3.2 i think that it is the 2013 mode with the CID display, Would anyone know what the cost would be for one. If to much will look at just getting a tom tom or one like it.

Also does the same laser  read the cd disk as will as the sat nav disk.

Also drive a Savage 25 niro truck...and flys a Bell 47 twister Savage 46 ss and a Tamiya audi TT ..for now.

2 seperate players in that unit - 1 for the 4 disc changer, 1 for the single slot where you put in map disk (or audio CD if you want)

Sorry yes it is the one slot laser that i need for the sat nav.

Virtually impossible to get spares for that one - you will probably end up sending it to Siemens for repair. Not sure how up to date these details are, but a good starting point

Have you considered sourcing a second hand 2013 from ebay.de

You'd be paying about £200-300.

Probably cheaper (just) to get it serviced at Siemens - at least you will get a known good unit with a warranty, rather than a 2nd hand ebay one with no knowledge of lifespan left

hi,

I've sourced a 2013 from ebay - sold as fully working in delivery mode, but radio works - cd changer is stuck and will not eject - single play will not play. - unsure if this is a(broken) or b ( in delivery mode). its not fully connected as I'm replacing the display as well - not got the extra cables either/

But I contacted the VDO  birmingham address and had the following reply

'the NCDR family of radios were not serviced by Siemens in the UK.

The only options are, replacement from a Vauxhall dealer or to contact the company shown on the pasted information below:
