fitting led dash lights.

I'm thinking of fitting led dash lights. Can anyone tell me does the dash light dimmer still work and do the needles have there own bulbs fancy blue numbers with red neeles same as the vw's

The three large yellow bulbs across the centre illuminate the speedo and needles. I also have a set of Blue LEDS around somewhere. Heres the link for the custom dials;

custom dials from germany, they come in varying colour options, around 68 euros, saves changing to LEDS.

Does the dimmer still work with LED's

Can the bulbs be changed for white LED's and would the be brighter than standard.

The dimmer does still work, but I found that with the blue or red LEDs the MID was hard to see in the day and the switches were blinding at night.

Am not bothered regards red/blue lighting, but was wondering if the White LED's were brighter and also if the life of them might be longer.  Seems the standard bulbs dont last too long.

No special tools, but found a tack remover handy for removing the dial needles :y

std bulbs last fine, just change them all at once if they are originals.

Additionally, as the dash wasn't designed for LEDs, it won't be overly successful, due to narrow angle of LEDs

I found the MID hard to see in daylight after fitting blue LEDs,Every thing else was OK, so I went to a craft shop and bought some blue glass paint and dipped the original bulbs, Worked fine,also did the heater controls and airvents.LOOKS GREAT! :y

not gay or out, but i was thinkin of coming out on the blue led thing. Noted dim mid post, i have colour info display. Will that go dim as well?
