MID
« on: 08 December 2008, 23:06:45 »

Anyone have a copy of the MID code list? I'm trying to diagnose why the computer functions won't move from outside temp and want to find out how the computer is set up.

Cheers in advance

dont understand what you are after?

If its stuck on one function, check the stalk (MID) or stereo (GID/CID)

Assuming you dont have TID which only shows temp (and radio and time)

It's the half sized MID for the CCRT, the buttons on the stalk seem to click as they should. I wondered if people had a list of what the numbers mean when you hold down 'S' and 'R' for five seconds together

Ah, if you get the 3 numbers up, then switches etc all OK

Numbers are firmware version, config code, and pulses per km

Ta, back to the drawing board on that one then. I'll have to wait for a tech 2 sesh at a meet in the near future to see what's happening with the display

Don't have a convenient list for that type, but post up your numbers, and I'll tell you its config :y

Well that's the weird thing, it varies slightly, it always says 058 top left, sometimes it says 049 on the bottom left, then after a while it decreases to 048 then 047 and never goes any lower

Stumped :-?

058 - 2.5l, auto, not MID mode, no HIDs, 225/55/16 tyres

That doesn't make much sense, as wheels imply Elite spec, so should have HIDs and be in MID mode (seeing as ccrt display only fitted in 1999).

Cheers for that, explains why it's not functioning correctly. At least I know exactly what I need to get it fixed, a quickie with a genuine tech 2. Ta for that

(It has HIDs and I've a feeling the previous owner had it changed to cover up a fault with the headlamp height adjuster)
