My mv6 with the 700 unit
« on: 08 January 2009, 12:14:33 »

The car i have was without the subwoofers on the shelf but what i wanted to know was this......

N/s/f speaker on low volume has a scraping kind of sound, it sounds like the Voice Coil is scraping on the Former of the speaker, what i want to know is when replacing it will it be a standered speaker or are they uprated with the 700 unit with built in phone and stuff?

Also not 100 percent sure if its got the Bose Amp as i red its bolted underneth the shelf on a saloon?

If so the conections are there im sure ive seen them?

My CCRT700 unit is a BOSE one, its printed on the cassette flap, for the want of a better word!

Without the rear shelf speakers I don't think it'll be a BOSE system :y

All mv6s as standard had the CCR 600 an upgrade to the CCRT 700 with the telephone facility was availible but no BOSE only elite's had that

thats what my 1998 MV6 sales brochure makes out anyway!

Not quite - pre 1998 MV6 didn't exist (will be plod), 1998 had ccr600, 1999 had ccrt700 (no bose), and 2000 onwards had cdr2005.

The BOSE wording on flap is not definative, as these units are quite old, many may have been reprogrammed to bose or non bose (its a simple software config change)
