Its a cermaic cap......looks to be a 10-100nF and probably a de-coupling cap

How do you learn all this electronics stuff - I'd love to learn more? :'(

5 years as a hobby, 4 years full time at Uni.....then you are ready to learn it (you dont learn the real stuff till you leave!)

11 years later.....and I can design my own stuff well!

I suppose like it takes a good 10 years of programming before you can call yourself one.
Oh, believe me, I know loads of people who's job has been programming for more than 10yrs, but I wouldn't call them a 'programmer' (sorry, they are called developers now I believe)

Looks like a decoupling cap to me as well - by the looks of the spiral track below it (and assuming the PTH it connects to goes to the cap in question) then it may well be for tuning the range/SNR of the receiver circuit?

BEng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, 3 years PCB design, 3 years electrical/electronic service on AC & DC drives - now industrial control software engineer before you ask my credentials..
