Alarm. Help Please!
« on: 14 April 2009, 08:17:59 »

Hi everyone.  My alarm keeps going off for no reason and I can't switch it off  Arghhh!

It happens even when I'm driving along!  It keeps going off for a couple of minutes each time.

Does anyone know how to disconnect it?

Thanks very much!  :y

prob not the bonnet switch if when driving.

I had this on an old astra, was the powersounder playing up.

It is under the scuttle in the drivers corner of the engine bay.

Just unplug it.

I had the same problem seemed to be worse when it rained I changed the power sounder and has been ok since , the batteries are encapsulated in compound and are not easy to get at either plus the batteries are obsolete as far as I can see so the best thing to do with it is bin it really  :y

I run my alarm without a power sounder, it's still got the horn bit which makes plenty of noise  :)
