Hi all :). Can I just add my solution from the same problem I had? It may help you Charlies Dad. My fob stopped working and I thought it was a flat battery. New battery no good. So not problem. As you say, battery holder inside fob not fixed to pcb, but connections all appeared okay. Today I bought a new battery just to make sure. Before replacing battery I pulled the 3 pronged battery connectors up to 90 degrees, replaced battery now fob works fine. It was just a poor terminal connection after all :-[ ::). Icing on cake....did not need to resync fob with car! :y

Sounds like the battery holder os broken - I have a nice strong repair for them - or if too knackered a few spares kept from flip conversions - 1 flip conversion = 1 MAF if they accept my offer ::)
