Those that know me will know that even when running diags on cars, I always leave the car when interrogating airbag ecus with cheap code readers ::)

Wuss!  ::)  ::)  :y  :y  :y ;)
There speaks a man who:

a) has never chewed his pants up his backside
or
b) too daft to feel the aftermath

I'm hoping a) is the answer ;D

Ok another question about airbags (in the seat)
I've got a spare seat, so the airbag electrical connection has been disconnection a while now.
Do I have anything to fear (it going off) if I remove it altogether from the side of the seat back. I want to take off the seat back fabric covering, and the airbag is stopping me doing this. Seems only 3 screws holding it from the inside.
Anyone done this, there is an "how to" about removing the seat covering, but I believe that one doesn't have an airbag.

There is always a risk, but just be carefull not to stand in front of the airbag whilst removing it, and basically be carefull of what you are taking apart. No problems unbolting the airbag from the frame, but dont ever try to dismantle the aibag unit itself.

Also, when putting the removed airbag to one side, ALWAYS place an airbag with the bag UPWARDS never place an airbag face down. This is so if it goes off, you only get a ballon, not a missile shooring across the workshop.
