ELECTRIC WINDOWS ??
« on: 31 December 2009, 10:15:07 »

Hi there, i've been silly and tried to open my front passenger window when it was frozen and the control arm came off, i repair the clip bits and i managed to reconnect the window, now when i close it it come back open about 3 inches and i have to on/off the switch to close it . also when i lock my door with the key and i turn fully  the window comes down a few inches and i have to unlock/lock to close it fully. i have tried to program the window as said in the manual but it still does it, any suggestions welcome. thankyou helen.

sounds possibly like the pressure sensor but try disconnecting the battery for about 20 mins first to reset the system

There is no pressure sesnor on the window setup.....but a power off will reset the motor control module

Most windows have a current sensing circuit as part of the electronic control box - if the window gets stuck, the current to the motor goes up, and this is then sensed by the circuits and the windows lowered a little to allow whatever was trapped to become free.

Its not a physical sensor or switch though.
