ABS / TC Lights coming on - no Speedo
« on: 05 January 2010, 17:57:10 »

HI,

My friend has a 2.6 elite, and drives fine with no lights, then every now and again the ABS & TC light comes on the speedo stops working...

Any one have any ideas??

ABS ecu. Refurb own unit for about £110 by specialists or get one from same spec

Definite symptoms of breaked abs ecu.  Its behind battery and below power steering fluid resevoir - look down and you will see a large multipin electric plug in it.  The ecu is bolted to the abs block - lots of brake pipes attached.

Symptoms can and will include abs/tc lights on, no speedo, no TC, no cruise control, and in some cases lack of power steering.

Awkward but doable DIY job - fiddly due to lack of space.
