Has anybody done this recently?

I seem to be making the 500 mile round trip to London on a weekly basis at the moment, the CCR2006 + Bose is certainly loud enough but 4 cd's get repetitive and I miss my Blaupunkt DAB/MP3 head unit.

I have been advised not to try driving the Bose amplifier from the my Blaupunkt head unit so I have bought some used 4 Ohm Omega speakers to suit the Blaupunkt. I want to be able to return everything to factory so I intend to link out the Bose amplifier at the plug in the boot.

Has anyone got any photos of the plug or the bose amplifier?

I had a look last weekend and it seems that the Bose shelf is fixed with screws from above the shelf & I will need to pull the seats out to get the fibre shelf out before I can even look at the Bose amp wiring

looping amp out *much* easier as drivers kick panel - all the speaker wires go through this, towards amp, then feed back from amp via this connection

I don't suppose there are any wiring diagrams/cable colours/pin outs available?

Andy, the easiest thing to do is get the body loom off a pre-facelfit car without bose from the drivers kick panel....on the pre-facelift, this connector was still present as they had boot located cd changers (you cna cut the CD changer section off which will yeild a large connector with a load of loopbacks)..

As the sourced connector is off a non bose, the loopbacks are present for the speakers.

You need need to do something about the bose speakers being 2ohms sadly...

Does aerial amp remote switch on go through that connector on facelifts?

No, it runs either down the drivers side (estates) via its own small connector (which is part of the aerial connector assembly) or down the passenger side on saloons

Thanks for the reply. Got back early this morning after another trip up to London & haven't fully woken up yet so apologies if I am being a bit slow...
When I first read your reply I thought you were saying that I couldn't do as The Boy had recommended but that I needed to change the loom for a pre-facelift.

Reading it again I am hoping that you are saying that I can get a plug out of a scrap car which will enable me to unplug the Bose amp at a connection behind the kick panel and use the plug to bridge the speaker connections.

I already have some 4 Ohm speakers from a non Bose facelift ready to fit in the doors.
