brake pad sensor wires

Just cut the sensor wire accidentally.......there appears to be two wires in the cable, does it matter which one is connected to which? does it make a circuit if they are twisted together, or does it then say the pads are shot?

hard to resolder these bloody things in situ.........

wires joined - sensor happy

wires cut - brake pad warning.

I have 2 sensors....1 side connected to disk and working, the other I just shorted the cable out, everything happy, only 1 sensor to replace.  :y

i did replace the sensors in mine, but broke them when inspecting a noise. Could not be bothered with them, so cut the buggers off, strip the two wires and tape together.

Frankly I hate those bloody things.  Unecessary if you inspect the pads reasonably regularly IMHO.

Thought that was the case!! I've shorted them now..........good idea if you are not mechanically minded if the car reminds you I suppose.

PMSL, why does that not surprise me!!  If you're gonna bodge it, at least do it properly ;)

I like having them in place (both of them) as they can serve as a reminder they are getting low, and I like everything working properly on my car for some unexplainable reason

Actually £5.36 plus postage off ebay at the mo...............!!
