Facelift instrument panel removal and bulbs
« on: 11 May 2010, 19:49:38 »

I have noticed that a couple of my instrument panel bulbs have gone. Can anyone advise what kind of bulb to use? Are the high power led's any good for this? and is removal of the panel the same as the prefacelift?

Thanks in anticipation!

Thanks guys, I saw the removal guide, cheers for that. So do I just buy the bulbs or do I need the bases for them as well?

Once again thanks for the info

Sorry forgot to ask how many bulbs there are, and are they all white?

4 bulbs, all clear. You just need the bulbs, they pull out of the base

Cheers once again but how does only 4 bulbs light up all the different lights, i.e. engine management, oil pressure, dipped lights etc.

What actual bulbs are blown. I assumed you meant the main illumination bulbs :question

It's four lamps for the back light illumination.
Each warning lamp has its own bulb/lamp! (not all spaces have a lamp ie seatbelt & over temp cats)

Warning lamps are soldered into their holders. Orange bases are 1.2w others are 2.0w

Are the warning lamps a differnt kind of bulb?

Is there not a green dipped headlight one in the cluster? Maybe thats why I can't find it/thought the bulb had blown. My information display is very dull as well, do these have replaceable bulbs?
