Stereo Facia Adaptors
« on: 30 May 2010, 08:43:09 »

Going to put my pioneer unit into the new car...

not sure on which double - single din adaptor to use.

There are Black, Silver, or Gunmetal grey

Im guessing the grey is the omega panel colour....anyone used em?  which looks best next to the 'aluminium' mv6 trim?

There is more than one colour  (silver and something called London grey or similar) JimBob, andfacelift and preface panels are the same (except you can use double din in facelift of course).
I think there were 4 colours of panels in total

The problem with all of the facia adaptors, is none of them have that crappy soft touch. So it will never match exactly, a good head unit really improves sound out of the standard speakers!

I think gunmetal is more the Vectra C colour.

I reckon if you wanted a perfect match to the MV6 silver trim then a bit of rubbing down, spraying and clearcoat is the best way. Lot of work though  ::)

Actually, there are many "soft touch" rubberised fascia panels out there, the problem is that they are seldom stocked as people do not want to pay the £75 costs that they usually command !

Also, the usual panel that everybody is using seldom matches the Omega colour exactly, as it was not designed for it, it was designed around the later Corsa and Agila that do have a slightly different pigmentation

cheers all, best cheap off the shelf will do me.

Thought there would be loads out there and a couple of people could provide a photo of theirs in situ to compare the looks.
