Laptop Problem
« on: 18 February 2008, 14:47:18 »

hello peeps,
i'm having trouble with my laptop, it says that my CD Driver is broken. Its a Samsung NV25 Notebook. I went on the samsung website and they dont have a driver for the CD Drive.
How could this be fixed?
By the way, i am also on Vista if that makes a difference or not.
Here are some pictures.

General fix for this is to uninstall all CD drives (physical and virtual), reboot and let pnp sort it all out again.

On XP, and i believe Vista also, can lose cd drive(s) if certain makes of burning software uninstalled!
Micoshaft are aware and have fix on their web site which basically updates the registry - its called autofix.  If u've uninstalled this type of software try this 1st.

Thank you very much peeps, i am pleased to say that it is now fixed! :) :D
I done what 'The Boy' said to do which was to uninstall all the CD drives and re-install them and now it is fine.

By the way, Magic Disc mounts files to CD's, can be very useful but some advice, when you uninstall it, your CD drive crashes so i wouldn't recommend it. :y

Thank you very much who helped me with my laptop problem, i really appreciate it,
Thanks,
Jamie
