interior light

morning all
interior light not working in ex-plod, puddle lights all work, and cat eyes work on light unit but interior light doesnt light on doors opening or on locking and unlocking. swapped the cateye lamps with the curtesty lamps and all lamps work, only one connector to light so anything else i can look for ?

Ex-plod cars can have severly hacked wiring, trace the lamp wire back down to the drivers side kick panel and check to see if it is still connected to anything.

any explod switches left?  they often have a switch to disable interior lights for covert use.

no plod switches left that i can see  :( but will trace wiring , just wish i had done it before i fitted new headlining  >:(
