Electric window auto close when dead locking
« on: 21 May 2011, 18:26:11 »

Have a question, has anybody had this problem.

Motor OK as window opens and closes normally when using the switches.

Have checked wiring and all ok. Reset one touch open and close.

When deadlocking with windows open, all close but not the n/s front and will not close unless closed by switch.

Any help welcome.

The owners manual is available on this forum in the "Omega Common Issues and FAQ" section.   :y

Reset 4 times.
The passenger side front window will not auto close on deadlocking.
All others close ok.

Try it with the window open by only an inch or so -

If the window moves, you have an obstruction somewhere lower down.

If the window does not move, it could be the control box relays, or the wiring to the door that is as fault.

Unlikely to need resynching as the others work.

Can't see how it can be the motor as it works ;)

Best guess is a wiring fault  :-/

Definately not the motor !

If the window does not move, it could be the control box relays, or the wiring to the door that is as fault as previously suggested

ISTR that if the window works from the switch the the issue is with the control box. Might it also be worth unplugging then reconnecting the door loom on the A post? :-/

Have unplugged and reset window and still does not close so could be a broken wire.
Dont know which cable that could be affected and to trace and check each one could take several hours.
So if someone knows the colour code of the cable to try first it would be of great help
