Hopefully, now its running well, and hopefully the sump plug won't fall out again (like the one you fitted Grin), it won't get that oily film up its arse.

There was a bit of a bump on the road back to the M54 on Sunday that made me think of you. Hoofed it up the road and saw a bit of an undulation with many sump plug scars on it. Too late to brake. :o

Luckily I was OK.

I know the very bump, I wasn't going fast (60/70 ish) but I had that pit-of-stomach moment anyway.  Fortunately, tractor didn't bottom out this time...

I've lost count of the number of sumps that have been changed in hotel car parks on my kit car tours. Especially when we went to Ireland and some guy dug a cat's eye out of the road! :o

So, I think we managed:

tab - Cambelt (2.5 V6)          2.4
mickdundee - Cambelt + aux belt (2.6 V6)          3.0
Phil - Rocker Gaskets, HBV    2.2+0.6
Shyboy - 2.0l cambelt and waterpump        1
SP_3.2 - cambelt (3.2 V6), HBV          3.0+0.6
Tony H - cambelt and waterpump (2.5 V6)           2.4
VX1 - Cambelt kit and water pump 3.0ltr elite        3.0
Theo - EGR and HID motor,   0.4 + 0.9
bob.dent - gearbox selector/door stay weld    0.4+0.5
Captain Zok - Door stay welding.     0.4
Donut82 - cambelt (2.5 V6)           2.4
A380 Elite - Cambelt + Aux Belt + Water Pump +PAS (3.0 V6)        2.4 + 1.0
Tomoco - Cambelt + Aux Belt  + water Pump (2.6 V6)     3.0
Jimbob - Gearbox Oil & filter change + brakes  0.8+2.0
PaulW - possibly the doorstay things, and coding the keyfob to the car, camcover gasket, spark plugs and leads    2.2+1.0
Tunnie - Brakes and radiator        0.8+ 1.6
Harrison -  cam belt and water pump     1
Elite Pete - Exhaust manifold gasket, DIS pack and leads.   3.7 + 1.2
Kate - Thermostat change (V6)          2.4

45.3 hours work which at 75 quid an hour (average dealer inc vat) is £3397.50 saved from the pockets of dealers......and that does not include the other jobs going on like Tech2 work, general checking rear blind ftting etc etc!
Better than that for me!  Didn't have to touch the EGR when the Tech2 told me what the real problem was and I took all of 15 seconds to reach down and reconnect the plug.  ::)

And more, it didn't take me that long to do the HID motor, plus I got one from timbuk for a song.  :y

And I got a headlight washer jet from TB.  Now have the full pair.  :y

And I confirmed that my rear suspension bushes are bad.  :-[

And I had far too many delicious scones and mince pies.  :o ;D

And Sheo had a good time.  :D

What a brilliant day. A big thank you to everyone there. I was a bit busy doing my cambelt so i did'nt get to say hi to a lot of you but what a great bunch of people, always willing to help. Big thanks to Berty (i think thats was his username (memory not what it used to be - too much booze when i was younger). He's the guy with the spotless White 8 valve Miggy. He did most of the work. PM me please mate...

Anyway, i cant wait for the next meet and i wont be so busy next time so i'll help out a lot more.

Many many thanks :y :y

Really peeved i could not make this meet, it sounds like it was a total sucess and shows what a bunch of like minded indiviuals can achive, it really does sum up the whole spirit of the OOF, and although i could not be there i feel very lucky to be in the company of such great friends and entusiasts. Long may it continue  :y

A big thank you to everybody who turned up.

It realy was an excellent team effort and we had an awful lot to get done.

The fact we achieved everything is down to everybody getting stuck in and stripping cam belts down, re-assembly, the lot! Plus the supply of drinks, fetching of petrol, cooking, cleaning etc etc etc.....

Its realy appreciated and everybody deserves a big pat on the back (not me as I am a bit sore this morning!)

And a special thanks to Timbuk for the loan of the unit, the hiring of the generator and toilet (TB prison) and the general running around and thats despite the other personal priorities he currently has!

And I wont mention the evil stench that Mr Jimbob was producing on the Sunday morning.....well it certainly made me work faster!

Wondered what that smell was, have to remember that the next time ;D ;D

Not as bad as the one Broocie left in my hotel room!! ::)
