Iv'e waited 24 hours to look at this tread again, see how hotel21 responded, it looked so promising and it turned into a car thread.

Isn't the M54 the motorway where it's ok to do speeds over 150 mph?  ::)

Well, there was the time in my early twenties when I went to Telford on a business trip and the hire car company had run out of low-spec cars. Their Rover 827 got a bit of a workout on the M54. ::)
