following on from comments in albs posth buyer/seller feedback in order to sell or reply to any post within car sales and parts you have to have 250 posts

why is it that you can post an item for sale in the test zone with below this amount of posts and then get it moved to sales by the moderator

You can't Paul. At the admins discretion, they will move post for people wanting to buy parts, but not sell them.  :y

Purely admin discretion. Usually wanted parts and mostly after diagnosis in car help, and/or a reconendation for the op to do so by others knowing the fault, is something like. It's selling that's the issue mostly, but there's nothing in the software to allow it to differentiate one from tother. So admin do it that way.

As I understand it anyway. :-/

My understanding is that it prevents people joining just to sell parts, or even a car......There have been problems in the past with sellers, so members feel that they would like to get to know someone before buying from them, and even this does not prevent problems :(   Any new member is unlikely to have something to sell that is worth breaking the rules for, buyers however is different and Admins may allow such a post.... :y

Which would be completely contrary to the spirit of the forum, generate more aggro for the admins, still end up getting binned, and hopefully bring a ban for whoever posted it. ::)

To be honest Paul, this is one of the worst places to sell an Omega anyway.I know you would like to shift yours so you can get your hands on that Elite, but imo your much better off advertising in autotrader or pistonheads. ;)

quite right in some respects :y but 1) would rather buy and sell to an OOF member especially as its had full going over by daz and people will understand the work 2) would much rather an OOF member benifits from it in all honesty and that really is the bottom line.

Besides no gaurantee elite will be avaiable and if i ebay it i may end up omegaless :'( and if i dont i could end up with a collection the dilema continues :D :D and wifey wont be impressed if theres 2 omegas on the drive a builders skip and my van hmmm as it is she would stuggle to park her car and wifey needs space to park lots of space ;D ;D

mind you i got the first 7 seater omega still got 2 seats in the boot alas not used car since newent been too bloody busy at work :( :(

i never knew Jamie sold snow :o

but to be serious for a moment :D since joining OOF and attending newent feel like ive gained some mates :-*ok maybe one or two well holly the dog ( i think) liked me .....but would rather sell to a mate than a stranger and if he happens to be an eskimo no problem. The problem with omegas is they are not worth a fortune we all know it even the very desirable cars are still not worth anything like they should be most are worth more to thier owners becuase of the work they have put into them and sentimental value than the monetary value they would fetch

but if your going to loose money then loose it to someone you like or you know will appreciate the car jumps of soap box :y
