the markings on the heads are front passenger side edge where the cam cover meets the head. Drivers side is at the opposite end. There is a small square area where there is a number made out of small dots.
You will need to remove the plenum and inlet manifold. Is easier than it sounds honestly. Have a look if the number on the passenger side of the block matches what it says on the heads then that should then satisfy what engine you have in. The engine number is a pain to find but will help you to find it if you  want to check that too :)

Not too sure it's got an LSD though, I did have a look but there was not tag....
I'll have to lift the back end and give it a twist....

theres never anything visible 10 years on, spin test doesnt work on this type of LSD iirc.  open it up, or test via driving I beleive are the only ways.

I could get a friend to hold one wheel while I turn the other...
