hi guys is there anyway i can short the check pad wire as it getting on my tit pads are ok plenty of meat left but wire has been taken off

and there is the problem.  ;) A new sensor wire closes the circuit, when it wears through because the pads have worn down, it opens the circuit & puts the message up. You need a new sensor(s) or old sensor wires with the end cut off & the ends shorted together.  :y

you can just stick a bit of wire in the socket - but this will rust and seize in time.

I would do a wanted ad for an old sensor - plug that in, and join the wires up.

Same idea, but safer and wont damage your car.

it only started about 4 weeks ago and the wire been of since i had it

sorry, reread - if you mean theres never been a check wire connected, then someone has probably shoved a paperclip in the socket which has now fallen out, or rusted away.

both sides?  undo and check them both, one has unshorted by the sounds of it.

LOL, I just had to bodge my sensor up - it finally broke after pads being in and out a number of times.

I tend to reuse my sensors, as my pads usually get changed long before the wear sensor gets touched at around 1/3rd left, as the heat dissipation is noticibly less after the pad is half worn...
