why is it that people expect manufacturers of sensitive hitech devices to build them in such a fashion as to counteract the user's bloody minded stupidity....

buy a bloody case for the thing.....  end of problem...

had a gayphone for a while,   love it,  as a tool ,  the apps for my trade are unmatched on any other platform,  not a scratch on it,   survived building sites, live gig work, being dropped countless times,  and floating around in my pocket with all sorts of sharp metal odds and sods....

because i had the intelligence to buy a nice leather case that doubles as a wallet,  and use screen protectors ....  just to be sure...

Mine has a leather case which stays on the phone when I'm talking on it. I'm not being funny, but phones aren't made to be dropped, if you you drop it, it's not the companies fault for not making the phone stronger. It's like having a car crash, ringing Vauxhall and saying my headlights have broken, why didn't you make them stronger?

And that makes what difference? My son has a Galaxy S2 without a case, dropped it outside my local newsagents and crack the screen in the top right hand corner. The point is still the same, if you drop it and it breaks it's your fault, not the companies fault in the slightest. And that particular galaxy didn't break, strength or luck?

their screens are not the same..  and as seen obviously in the video, galaxies are more robust..

yes, samsungs also can be broken if you really try, however, its an important point that the producer firm protects the customers "investment" as those mobiles are really expensive now.. so if one can do, I expect the other try the same at least..

I would have thought this story would be enough to put people off buying apple products http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15360697

If not the "more money than sense" comes to mind.

But then I could sit here and say my sons galaxy s2 broke when it hit the floor, and my ex Mrs' iPhone didn't break when she dropped her iPhone in the street. So you could then say the iPhone is stronger I find the Samsungs are nice phones although the feel of the marerials used is shocking I think.

Or the fact that the clip was paid for and produced by Samsung? ;)
