It was supposed to be loon... Can we the edit button back please :y

Now well into the realms of repetative tedium.  ::) ::) ::) ::) >:( >:( >:(

It has been explained numerous times, some nicely, some not so nicely, that for technical reasons, it is not possible at this time.

Other than using capslock to SHOUT IT AT YOU ALL, can the greater masses PLEASE give the admin team a break?

When it can be safely restored, it will be.

And not before, howsoever often it gets requested.

Indeed, in the admin area, its been earnestly suggested that temporary banning is a viable option to get the point across.

Something has to get through to the OOF community.  Eventually......   :'(

I can see why you guys are getting a tad hacked off at the constant whinging about the edit button......  ::)

So and it's just a suggestion or maybe a solution...... Could we have a spellchecker instead???  ???  Please don't ban me...  :-X  ;)

 ::) Hotel21 is right. A bit of patience is all that is required because it is obvious that those who complain probably know very little about what it takes to publish pages and forums on the internet, particularly ones as complex as the OOF!
Now for a bit of wisdom in verse;

Patience is a virtue,
Possess it when you can,
Seldom found in woman,
And never in a man..........

Don't say I didn't warn people! In my grumpy rant the other day I said the Admins must be getting fed up ;)

I say ban the next one (temporarily of course) and make an example ::)

If my reply is going to be more than a few lines, I tend to type it in MS Word, spell check, and then copy / paste back to OOF...

 :y Way to go Ian_D.....
Anyway, they should try using the Preview....it does what it says and any errors can be dealt with BEFORE posting.
We know its easy peasy but maybe a little too logical for some  :D ;)

And it works much better than the old one too, by taking you to the first unread post in a thread, not just the start of the thread.  That will make reading a lot easier :D

on a slightly related 'problem' .......  ::) when all in the tech side of the forum is fixed or in the process of being fixed can the warning when you've hit the 'post' button that someone else is posting be oppsed off? I don't care if some one else is posting as I post. If there's a duplicate answer, then so be it.  ;) ;) ;)
