Have no issues with being on my own. Think the real "issue" here is that I have no transport at present ;)

As for going on the beer... What do you think I've been doing for the last 8 hours on my own ;)

Some of us need a bit of space - with travelling quite a lot for almost 40 years I have got used to it - it is the actual travelling that is a pain - fine when I get there. Question is how you use your spare time when travelling and I usually have a plan - when you don't things can hsappen - once ended up in a car showroom in Kolkata (Calcutta) with someone trying to sell me an Ambassador car ( old Morris Oxford types) and walking into a situation in Sierra Leone with Lebanese in 1989 relating to the release of Terry Waite.

well....your obviously not trying hard enough....if im being mr slow.....thats 2 pints/hr....3pints/hr if im upto speed....after 8 hours i'd be my back  ;D :D

I love the travelling, but when stranded in a quiet(ish) town on a Sunday with no transport it's a bit frustrating ::)

I was hoping to get my van up from the fitter before SWMBO left with the car at lunchtime. Then I could have nipped up and seen my mother ;)

I tend to try and be a little sensible when drinking alone, especially as I haven't really drunk much in the last 10 months. Plus, it's a long way from my room to the bar (which was packed earlier) ::)
