Theres one neighbour in my terraced street who owns 2 land rovers,1 citreon,he has 2 blue badges 1 which belonged to his now deceased wife.Just before she died he had the council place a disabled parking space outside his house for HER.
He also has a blue badge and uses another disabled space near his house, but theres bugger all wrong with him,if and when he moves one of the rovers he parks the citreon in the bay. He has a double garage at the rear of his house that isn't used.
Thats what you would call really inconsiderate to your neighbours I think, also one house has FIVE cars between them,it's hell to park in this street.

I thought I'd lucked out when I moved here, but sadly not.. a little end cul-de-sac with about five visitor spaces on one side (where there's no house) - unfortunately in just over a year it's gone from easy to park on my own driveway (two cars wide, almost two cars long, double garage at the end of it) to a slalom around everyone else's vehicles..

There's the (rented) house next door which appears to now have three families living in it with five vehicles between them (people carrier for her and the sprog, 5-series for 'him', decorators van for 'granddad', Renault for 'grandma' and now a Citroen for 'random other bloke' - the drive only has space for one, so the rest fill the visitor spaces) and the builder the other side who parks his 4x4 outside his gates, half across my drive, because he's too idle to open the gates and use his driveway; which is the biggest driveway in the street and the only gated one.

Of course I know that if the (rented) neighbour moves out, the builder will probably start parking his two LWB sprinter vans and his tipper bed truck in the visitor spaces again - and it's much easier to slalom around cars than two 9m long vans!

More than once I've had to reverse the length of the road to get out, because it's impossible to turn around.. but there's nowt I can do besides move house.

As some will know: the dogs and I relocated here from a VERY rural farm (so we`re unused to 'parking-wars' possibilities) but have found considerate neighbours in each adjoining house and on-street parking seems not an issue (probably because its too dangerous!) ;D
......but it`s not Christmas yet is it! ::)

Sadly, my house`s unusually narrow through road would seem to be "on the way" to the police pursuit-driver training school  ::) and the FIA under 17`s test-circuit >:(.....ah well; at least I wont be shoveling snow for weeks-on-end this winter! ;)

I used to live in an area of terraced streets in Bristol, and many of the houses were rented so there might be 2 or 3 cars per house....  ::)  Parking was a complete nightmare, and often had to park 2 or 3 streets away  :( Not what you want after a 15 hour shift and it's cold and wet!!  >:(
