No but it can be frustrating enough to bring on a nervous breakdown. ;D
When mine were young I didnt bother having a car worth having an interest in (I had a Sierra for most of that time)and I gave up on the idea of having tools.I kept finding them tangled up in the workings of the lawnmower when cutting the lawn. It transpired that this was due to the fact that my youing son deemed them to be vital weapons of war in his battles between his He Man and Skeletor toys. ::) ;D ;D ;D

May I suggest to the OP that a roofrack may be the best compromise. :y ;D ;D

oh come on be fair

they not his kids!
my little girl is now four and has gone through a number of car seats as she has grown up and my leather has not been marked after all that time.
but i do look after the leather and i moved the seat from the left to right at regular intervals, also if you do get marks where its been placed a quick warm with a hair dryer[not a heat gun] and out they come.
another tip for you make sure you check the seats after the little darlings have left because if they spill milk and you dont notice it, trust me you will the next day :y
