I had a similar problem in Feb of this year, and i'm still waiting..  the councils 'insurace' won't accept liability, even though I had pictures, witness statements...  the only option i have is to go to small claims court to get my money... 

My problem was a little more expensive though, my alloys were approx £500 per corner (chromed 18" imported from the US) plus it threw the tyre from the alloy
