Also remember that the MID shows what it thinks it would be doing on petrol. Depending on how the LPG system is tuned that could differ considerably from what it would actually be doing on petrol, let alone LPG.

I'm basing my working on running the LPG until it's empty then putting in 50 litres, and running to empty again.

210-250 seems about the limit for driving with the daily commute (4 miles each way) but I hope to get 275ish on a run.

I always go by what miles I do then divide by how much it takes to fill the LPG tank.   More more accurate than brimming a petrol tank.

This is my 7th LPG car, but first Omega LPG

You should try running my new beast.. it runs only on petrol, and does half the MPG of an Omega 3.0 V6 ;D

I've got a picture to upload later - the MV6 showing 36.7mpg on the average screen, after resetting before leaving the drive, going through town and out to peterborough.

Sadly after 10 miles around peterborough, and 8 miles through around town at home, it's now on 28.8 but still not dire!

Also managed another 235 mile LPG tank (50 litres) of mixed driving. So Still holding out hope that I can get from home to exeter on a tank of gas (which would make it £15 each way cheaper than my TDi Passat)

Being a bit 'sad' I keep check on economy for my 2.5 V6.  ::)
Motorway long-distance steady speed, average runs (100+ miles):

56 mph= 36.4 mpg
65 mph= 37.1 mpg
77 mph= 41.2 mpg

*Interesting that the Omega`s clean aerodynamics come into play at higher speeds.

But I have to drive like a saint  [smiley=engel017.gif] to get the highest 2 figures; `very gentle acceleration and anticipating hills etc.....`such 'economic-driving-games' passes the time for me on long journeys.  ;)

I can empathise with you on your last comment..

I got more than 30mpg on a tour of Europe in 2006 and that included German Autobahns  :y ;D ;D

I was away for quite some time and did over 10,000 miles work and pleasure.. The main reason for buying the miggy was the comfort of such a long trip and she did me very proud!!

I'll dig out the exact figs one day and post them.. an excellent advert for a 3.0 MV6 saloon..  8-)

I've got a blowing manifold gasket, but before that started (and before I done the cambelt) I could get 40mpg at 60mph and 30-35mpg (depending on hills) at 70mph. I am currently getting 30mpg at 60mph  :o. I'm scared.

I manage to get 32.0mpg on my 3.0 mv6 doing 60 for about 15 miles. what i'm wandering is how juicey are the 3.2's compared to the 3.0 is it worth getting one, or shall i stay with 3.0, and also is there much power differencr between the two engines? :-X

Im gettin about 29 on the motorway in a 2.6 Auto..

My 29 seems way off :question
