Yes. That's how it's been when i bought it. ( wasn't me that broke it I swear  ;D )
I'm chasing donor car anyway, those flaps are interchangeable between units I believe. Also I have CCR 2006 in parts sitting  somewhere..
Next problem are the seats. Passenger seat and rear bench have two small holes in leather. Drivers seat heater doesn't work.
Seats are fully electric, drivers with memory.
Cant' decide should I try to fix them or to replace them. Carpets have to go, but finding another seats with leather in good condition, and all the electrics working will bee tricky..

That's nice of you, but shipping to Serbia would cost more than full Bose setup anyway  :D
Those flaps cause problems even when they work.
I remember once I tried to change CD while driving. I managed to brake the gear that drives that flap and almost drive myself off the road.

Donor car purchased yesterday.


Someone put 235 55 17 at the rear, 2cm wheel spacers and it didn't rub  ::)
2.5 DTI manual. 400K on the clock and still doing donuts  ;D
I started striping parts to complete mine car, than I'll sell what can bee sold, rest is going to bee scraped.
Both sets of alloys are for sale, cause i don't like them.

Quick question:
I'm planning to replace drivers door. Donor car doesn't have Bose, rest is identical.
What are differences in wiring for front door speakers? If there is any..

No difference in door wiring, just need to swap the 2Ohm Bose speaker over

Old girl is prepared for body shop.


Managed to switch drivers door by myself. It's not perfect fit but it's ok. I'll leave that to a professional..
Biggest rust issue, as far as I can see will be this spot underneath drivers feet. Every single OmegaI seen recetly has this problem. They mesed up something during production.

I'm considering to close this badge hole on the bonnet and just stick O M E G A without any other badging.

I changed many different cars in past few years,and somehow I came back to Omega. It suits me, I can do almost everything by myself, parts are cheap. This is not going to be full restoration, as I plan to use her everyday. Plan is to stop the bodywork cancer, fix front suspension, engine mounts, ESP light came on for some reason, and that's it.
I'll stick to the original color, and I gave up on the Irmscher body kit, since I would have to remove it before every MOT ( regulations in Serbia became totally idiotic..)
If I manage to find better leather seats, I will replace mine, but that is not a priority. Two kids, (5 and 3) in the back are going to tear them apart anyway  :)
I am replacing fake mahogany trim with silver one from donor car, beige carpets are thrown away, and when I find some time i'm planing to insert some LED lights inside.

Work is progressing slowly and painfully..



Fun fact: Front left wheel arch can be used for rear right,they are almost identical.

Opel badge is not coming back on the boot definitely.

Bulkhead/firewall hole is still waiting to be sorted. Old filler is going to be brushed, and they'll try to push out that panel out little better than it was done before.
